PACKAGING AND THE PLANET
- Are Authored products recyclable?
Yes. Authored products are recyclable. We invested heavily into switching plastic out for aluminium wherever possible, which means Authored products are 95% recyclable.
All mascara and brow gel wands are removeable, which means your remaining aluminium packaging is 100% recyclable, unlike any other mascara or brow gel packaging that we are aware of. All of our aluminium tubes and caps are 100% recyclable.
- Why Aluminium?
Aluminium is infinitely recyclable, making it by far the most sustainable material appropriate for our products.
We’ve ditched the plastic where possible – because although it can be recycled and is a cheaper alternative, it leads to degradation after just a few times of being recycled and has a lower reuse rate than aluminium.
We have invested heavily into aluminium innovation to build bespoke tooling for our products that allows the packaging to be recycled curbside with your regular recycling. We have been working closely with AluPro (link) and they have given it their nod of approval, the first company they have worked with in the beauty industry.
So, this means when you’re finished with our products, you can place both the aluminium packaging and the cardboard box into your recycling. Who knows, they may both end up back on your shelf in the form of another of our products before you know it.
- Are Authored Products Climate Neutral?
Yes! Authored are proud say that their products are all Climate Neutral. We have partnered with Climate Partner to offset all of our carbon emissions. Visit our Authored Climate Neutral portal to find our more.
- How?
We’re climate neutral because we offset our operational carbon emissions by investing into projects set up to combat and contribute to a reduction in carbon emissions. Scan the QR code on our packaging or visit our Authored Climate Neutral portal to find our more.

- How can I recycle my packaging?

- Are your products Vegan?
Yes, all Authored products are vegan and cruelty free.
- Does Authored use palm oil?
No.
- Where are Authored products made?
All Authored products are made either in the UK or Italy. Individual product origins can be found on the product pages.

- Can I return my order?

- Which countries do you ship to?
We ship to the following destinations: UK, Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Gibraltar, Lithuania, Monaco, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, US.
- Can you deliver to a PO Box address?
Yes, we can deliver to any address.
- Will I have to pay any tax or duties?
Yes if applicable to the shipment destination. Taxes are calculated and added at checkout if you are a UK customer. For overseas customers you may be liable for import duties, additional taxes and/or expenses incurred due to complying with foreign regulatory requirements or laws. You will be responsible for payment of any such duties and/or taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office or taxation authority for further information before placing your order.
- Is VAT added in the price?
Yes, all VAT is included in the price where applicable.
- How does your international delivery service work?

- Can I have my parcel redirected to a different address?
Unfortunately, due to the risk of fraudulent activity and for your security we are unable to change the address your order is being sent to.
- How long does UK Delivery take?
Please allow up to 5 working days for your delivery to arrive. However, sometimes orders can be delayed due to network delays. Please note: All deliveries are handled by third party couriers. Therefore, all times given are estimated delivery times. There is a chance that your delivery may arrive earlier or later than specified.
- How long does International Delivery take?
Please allow between 5-21 working days for your delivery to arrive. However, sometimes orders can be delayed due to network delays. Please note: All deliveries are handled by third party couriers. Therefore, all times given are estimated delivery times. There is a chance that your delivery may arrive earlier or later than specified.
- Can I track the delivery for my order?
Yes, once your order has left our warehouse you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a trackable link.
- Can I change any of my order details, including products and address?
Unfortunately, due to the risk of fraudulent activity, we will not be able to make any amendments to your order after your order has been made.
Please double check the items when completing your order and confirm your address is correct.
If you no longer want your products after you have ordered them, please return them to us unopened following our Returns guidance.
- Where is my order?
You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed. Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email.
Please note: All deliveries are handled by third party couriers. Therefore, all times given are estimated delivery times. There is a chance that your delivery may arrive earlier or later than specified.
All parcels can be tracked using the tracking number and link provided in your shipping confirmation email.
- I entered the wrong address, what do I do?
Unfortunately, due to the risk of fraudulent activity, we cannot make any amendments to your address after your order has been made. Please take extra care when entering your address and completing your order. Your item will be delivered to the address you enter, and you will be responsible for retrieving the order. If your order is returned to us because the address is incorrect, it will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
- Can I change my delivery address?
Unfortunately, due to the risk of fraudulent activity, we will not be able to make any amendments to your address after your order has been processed. Please double check your address when completing your order. Your item will be delivered to the address you enter and you will be responsible for retrieving the order.
- My card keeps getting declined?
In most cases, if your card is declined it is due to your bank rejecting the payment. Double check that the billing address on the card matches your account billing address or try a new card. If you're still having issues, ring your bank and tell them that you are making the transaction and then try again.
- I haven’t received a confirmation email, help?
Please check your Junk/Spam for shipping emails (search Authored).
- My product is faulty, what do I do?
Authored endeavours to provide all products to the highest of standards. Your items may have minimal natural wear and tear from the manufacturing process.
Each item is quality checked prior to shipping and handled with care to your door. If your product is faulty, please Contact us and someone will be able to help you.

- Can I purchase Authored products anywhere else?
